Bernadette Novembre // Özergun

  • The Post Office Hotel 229-231 Sydney Rd Coburg, VIC, 3058 Australia (map)

Bernadette Novembre is currently in the process of recording her debut Album and continues to preview her new work around various venues in Australia.

Hyped to be the next big thing in Indie Rock, Bernadette's new music can be described as a mix of late 1960’s Rock: The Doors, George Harrison, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, David Bowie and Brit Rock/Alternative Rock: Arctic Monkeys, The Last Shadow Puppets, The Vaccines, Babyshambles, Franz Ferdinand, Oasis, PJ Harvey, Queens of The Stone Age and Chrissie Hynde. Her new music has been described as 'Avant-Indie Alt Rock on the dreamscape'. The songwriting pedigree is evident throughout her new music with co-songwriter and Producer Joshua Moriarty (of bands Miami Horror, TELENOVA and All The Colours) on board.

Highlights of her career thus far include playing support to members of The Rolling Stones and being part of the headline at Festivals such as the St Kilda Festival. One of Bernadette's new songs made it to the Top 30 of the Australian Songwriters Association Songwriting Contest in 2020.

Bernadette’s band is made up of well-known Melbourne musicians Jason Lambrou (Keys), Adyn Young (Guitar), Lawson Kennard (Bass) and Luke Andresen (Drums).

Özergun

Six-piece band Özergun explores a variety of rock, funk, jazz, folk, and world music flavours through an Australian lens. Deeply personal yet refreshingly accessible lyrics further blur the lines between local and universal truths. Their structured studio recordings transform into a showcase of musicianship and inventiveness during live performances, highlighting improvised solo sections and extended jam sessions.

The band's most recent single, ‘The Days Before Lockdown’, received positive reviews in several music magazines and continues to be played on radio stations around the country (including PBS and the Super Radio Network) nine months after it was released.
