A new city, a fresh start; after living the country life in the Pacific Northwest of Canada for the last 4 years; Folk singer/songwriter Dan Challis has finally returned home, and will play The Post Office Hotel on Sunday, March 8. From 9-11pm, Dan will share his story through unfiltered moments; exploring the light, the shade, and the roughness of being to the rustic sounds of classic folk and Americana. Rich with punchy, understated folk hooks and see-sawing textures of old-time country, his songs have a vulnerability and rawness that hit right where they need to. Dan will meld both his original tunes with 60s/70s folk era songs, that will sure to bring some pangs of nostalgia to those music lovers and listeners who enjoy the warm, classic sound. He will be joined by his trusted sidekick Stephen Grady, who will be adding some extra guitar work and soothing harmonies on Dan’s songs. The Dan Challis duo will play an evening of sweet, heartfelt tunes; especially to those wanting to hear a new take on a bygone era.
