The Hornets - Book Launch

The Hornets are steeped in the blues, they rise out of the Yarra Valley delta meeting at the mythical crossroads where Chicago grit has blown in. This is an earthy blues band with a pedigree of outstanding musicians…"Warwick McFadyen The Age

Craig Horne is not only the singer song writer for Post Office Hotel favourites The Hornets, but is also an author. For The Hornet’s October 14 Post Office gig, they will be  incorporating a book launch and book reading of Craig's recent Daddy Cool biography Daddy Who? Published by Melbourne Books http://www.melbournebooks.com.au/products/daddy-who into the show.

Daddy Who? is the story of iconic 1970’s Australian band Daddy Cool. Craig Horne was with Daddy Cool every inch of the way. The book reveals the madness of Daddy Cool’s 18 month history and the October 14 gig will include a book signing as well as the usual Hornets barroom bluesy goodness.

The Hornets feature some of the country’s well known and respected blues and roots musicians. They have released six CDs , to rave reviews and have gained a regular following of devoted fans as a result of many  live performances. Consequently, The Age named The Hornets “The best blues band in Melbourne”, and the Herald Sun said the band “demanded attention”.
