The Hornets have been described by The Age’s Warrick Mc Fadyen as…“Steeped in the blues, they rise out of the Yarra delta via the American deep south, meeting at the mythical cross roads where Chicago grit has blown in..”
Perennial Post Office favorites, the band features a who’s who of Australia’s blues and roots music scene from the past four decades; including guitarist and Black Sorrow Jeff Burstin, The Bamboo's Yuri Yavlinov on bass, Paul Kelly and Archie Roach’s keyboard player Bruce Haymes plus the Bad Love’s drummer Chris Tabone and singer songwriter Craig Horne.
The band, also described by The Age as …“The best blues band in Melbourne”… will play songs from their critically acclaimed latest CD Dangerous Dancing plus numbers from their extensive back catalogue September 10 at 4.30pm
