Picture Nancy Sinatra jamming with Dick Dale and the Gun Club at the best party of the year. If you can conjure up such an exciting and eclectic mix of 50′s rock ‘n roll, 60′s surf and 80′s punk attitude, you’re getting close to the sound of Melbourne four-piece, La Bastard.

Forming in late 2010 and quickly signing with respected garage rock label Off the Hip, the band’s tight, reverb-drenched sounds and frenetic live shows have captured audiences’ imaginations across Australia.

Since 2012, the band have already released two EPs and two full-length albums, as well as a compilation release on France’s Beast Records, and toured extensively Australia wide, decisively capturing the attention of Australia’s live music scene. La Bastard have played with some of the finest acts from Australia and around the world including The Bellrays, Spanish garage rock heroes Los Chicos, the Meanies, Cash Savage and the Last Drinks, and the ReChords.

After 2 years of wowing audiences across Australia, La Bastard signed with BEAST Records in France and embarked upon their first tour of Europe, with 18 shows across Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
