Lyndon Blue is an artist from Boorloo/Perth, currently working out of Birraranga/Melbourne. Previously known for the electronic uncanny of Leafy Suburbs and the cosmic-jazz-doom of Solar Barge, late 2018 saw the release of Blue's solo debut: the "Warm Corona" EP via local cassette label Healthy Tapes, yielding six tracks of warped bedroom pop and inventive post-punk. Among them is ‘Page of Wands,’ a song inspired by a tarot card of the same name. Built on insistent harpsichord, snappy drum machine and lo-fi organ drones, it's an idiosyncratic entry with an equally unique forthcoming music video, directed by Julia Suddenly.
To celebrate the single release of 'Page of Wands,' Blue will be reconvening a band of talented mates for a matinée show at the Post Office Hotel in Coburg. Opening up proceedings is the debut live set from Blood Knows, a new project from fellow West Coast expat Leigh Craft (Flower Drums) - expect drifting vocal melodies, chiming guitar, and patient, tender song-sketches glued together by synth and sanguine drums.
