Lexicon are a punk band from the humid confines of sunny Brisbane, Australia. Fueled by a hectic need to mine the depths of minimalist rock music, to create something simultaneously ugly and appealing. Hooky and abrasive. Stupid yet smart. Kinda like Brisbane itself? Phoebe (Pleasure Symbols) up front, seething bits about isolation, disgust and personal growth. Ruby (Babaganouj) on drums, Daniel (woodboot) on bass, and Sam (woodboot, occults) on guitar. Lexicon were once described as propulsive, and that is fair.

They make me think of Avant Records, LEBANON HANOVER, QUAL etc as much as older post-punk or jazzy art-punk jam bands - clearly there's more than one trick up their sleeves.
