Revered Melbourne songwriter Laura Jean emerges from the studio to play a headline show, with support from Sweet Whirl. In 2014, Laura’s self-titled fourth album was shortlisted for the Australian Music Prize and nominated for an Age Music Victoria award.  Since then, Laura has been working on new material in a new setting, putting down her acoustic guitar to compose on a 90s Kawai keyboard. The new songs take in elements of high sheen pop and R'n'B, while still filtered through Laura's trademark intimate, confessional style. She has recently been in the studio with producer John Lee (Lost Animal, Pikelet), with new material due by the end of the year.
