Junior Fiction return to the Post Office Hotel with a big bag of pop songs. Some old and nostalgic, some new and vital. Taking cues from pop and soul from the last half a century and adding a contemporary post pop twist. Flashes of colour and atmosphere mixed with heavy sentiment and endearing guitar and vocal hooks. Ambitious arrangements but always efficient. Wrap your eardrums around it.
Dave O'Connor is a man and is also a band. He sings smart rock without the smugness. Contemplation mixed with humour and grace. Delicate and subtle at times. Grand and dynamic when required. Maximum impact. Always engaging. It's great stuff.
