‘The Barebones mix elements of Wilco’s alt-country and the UK’s pub-rock of Nick Lowe and Elvis Costello, while also recalling Aussie-indie forebears Bluebottle Kiss and The Panics.’ – BEAT Magazine
With tight arrangements and even tighter harmonies, The Barebones are an alternative rock band whose influences include Big Star, T-Rex and Augie March. Combining twin 335’s with waves of piano and organ, they shift seamlessly from pared back alt-country to driving rock n roll.
The Barebones launch their debut album in 2016 having recently completed recording at Hamer Hall with local luminary and co-producer D. Rogers. Expect explosive keys, sibling harmonies, driving guitars and songwriting that cuts to the heart of the matter.
