Bringing together some of Australia's finest musicians, The Flaming Mongrels features luminaries of the Melbourne country and blues scene. Bassist Malcolm Beveridge has toured internationally with the critically acclaimed stage show ' Jack Charles vs. The Crown, and provided infectious grooves for bands such as Louis King and The Liars Club. Guitarist, Gary Watling has graced the stage with some of Australia's biggest names, including Aria and Golden Guitar nominated artist Jasmine Rae. Drummer Phil Collings has performed with Lou Bennett, Sophie Koh, Emily Ulman, Kate Neal's Deadhorse, Stu Thomas' Paradox, Kim Salmon, Biddy Conner, Phil Collings Trio, Tangazo, The Guild League, Ren Walters, Blue Drag, Lucie Thorne, and The Half Tides. His skills have also branched to working in Broadway, the 52nd Melbourne International Film Festival, and appearances on ABCs Studio 22. Saxophonist Joel Reed was a member of Frankie Wants Out and has toured internationally with Perth-based act Toby. Vocalist Hannah Riley has supported the likes of Brooks and Dunn, and composed music for the acclaimed Lions Bride theater production.

The Flaming Mongrels bring a fresh new sound to the Melbourne music scene, cross-pollinating outlaw country, down-home blues, jazz and swing, while retaining a unique and individualistic sound.
