Louis Spoils, Freida le Bjorn & Amy Alex

Louis Spoils, Freida le Bjorn & Amy Alex play from 9pm  FREE

Louis Spoils

Louis Spoils is the recording project of Jake Rush, a talented musician and songwriter and a friend to many, a fact that immediately leaps from the linear notes of his debut, self-titled EP. Co-produced with chum Tom Glaum who literally captured everything themselves except the drums, the five tracks contained on this stellar first effort feature a star-swollen line-up of guests who think so much of Rush, they worked on this recording alongside the man himself for little more than pizza. Old friend Wally De Backer (Gotye) plays drums on all five tracks while the likes of Kane Mazlin (Hungry Kids of Hungary), Dan Parsons, Sam Cromack (Ball Park Music), James O’Brien (The Boat People) and more all lend a hand to proceedings.

The result is stunning – a multi-faceted quintet of tunes so good, no guest could steal the spotlight from Jake Rush himself as he coolly delivers each and every line of every song with the utmost precision.

 Freida le Bjorn

Sassy soul/folk trio Freida le Bjorn brings together collaborators Rebecca Langley, Jonathan McCoy and Bianca Maes once again. The three blend inspired lyrics, smooth melodies and complex arrangements effortlessly, highlighting Langleys powerhouse vocals, Maes´s cutting guitar tones and McCoy´s distinct harmoics.

 Amy Alex

Amy Tankard's creative beginnings involved various musical love affairs with the likes of Michael Jackson, Bob Marley and Sam Cooke. Armed with self choreographed moves and a big voice, she was unstoppable...

Teaming up with fellow Melbourne musicians Josh Stainer (Electric

Guitar), Tomas Strode (Electric Guitar & Bass) and Ben Teniswood (Drums), the four piece work together with the aim of creating stripped back yet evocative sonic landscapes underpinned by Amy's soulful vocals and warm onstage presence.
