Raised By Eagles play 2 sets from 9.30pm

Raised By Eagles formed in early 2012, and includes some of Melbourne’s finest alt-country talent in Luke Sinclair (vocals, guitar), Nick O’Mara (lead guitar), Luke Richardson (double bass) and Johnny Gibson (drums) – all well established musicians and songwriters in their own right, sharing a common love of honest music and a deep respect for good song writing. This collaboration has seen Raised By Eagles fast establish themselves at the forefront of Melbourne’s alternative country scene, charming audiences with their impressive blend of country, pop, folk and rock. Finding inspiration in artists ranging from Neil Finn to Bonnie Prince Billy, Wilco to Whiskeytown and Jerry Jeff Walker, these are songs that remain unaffected by the smoke and mirrors of music in the post- modern era, and encapsulate the art of storytelling at it’s heartfelt finest.

Raised By Eagles debut, self-titled LP was released on 9 July 2013 through Vitamin Records to a packed house at Melbourne’s Bella Union (Trades Hall). The album has since received national acclaim and was nominated at The Age Music Victoria Awards for ‘Best Country Album’ 2013.
